About Us


Hughesville Softball offers Recreational Level Softball under the guidance of ASA Softball for girls age 5-16.  There are no residence boundaries and any player may join.  Hughesville Softball offers regular season play, end of season house tournament and after season All Star tournaments for rec and select level of play.

Divisions of play are:

  • Instructional - typical age 5-8, utilizes pitching machine and modified rules
  • Minor -typical age 8-11,  combination player & coach pitch and modified rules
  • Major - typical age 11-12, with option for highly skilled younger players or beginner age 13
  • Junior - typical age 13-16, starts a little later in season to allow high school players to participate

Registration for the 2012 Spring Season
 

You can still register!  Registration will continue online until the end of February.  We will be having another onsite registration on February 11 at the Hughesville Firehouse from 10 to 1 PM.   If you have any questions, please contact Jenny Roberts. 



Spring Registration Begins January 7th Online
 

Hughesville Softball offers recreational fastpitch softball to all Southern Maryland players and is accepting registrations for the Spring 2012 season. Regular season play will start in spring of 2012 for all levels of play for players 6-16, including the Instructional program.  Registration will be at the Hughesville Firehouse Sat Jan 14 from 10 to 1.  Registrations will be held at both the Hughesville and Mechanicsville Firehouse Wednesday Jan 25 from 6 to 8 PM, and Saturday Jan 28 from 10 to 1 PM.  Online registration will begin January 7, 2012.

We are excited to announce a WIN/WIN fundraising event for the Hughesville Baseball & Softball League. We are asking each player to sell as many ticket vouchers possible for Friday, May 18th game for the Blue Crabs. The ticket vouchers will cost $12 saving everyone $1 for each ticket. The people who purchase the vouchers will take them to the stadium to select a seat of their choice in advance. The TEAM who sells the most tickets will get a batting practice with the BLUE CRABS on the stadium field prior to the game. The PLAYER who sells the most tickets will get to throw the first pitch for the Blue Crabs game on the 18th. ALL HUGHESVILLE BASEBALL & SOFTBALL TEAMS will get to parade the field prior to the game as well. So everyone wins by selling Blue Crab tickets to help us get the best equipment possible and keeping our future registration cost down!

All ticket voucher sales will begin on January 14th. Please print your fundraising form down below or ask for a copy at our registration locations.
